Welcome to SASWR
Welcome to the Society of Anaesthetists of the South Western Region (SASWR) website. In 2007 SASWR celebrated its 60th anniversary and enjoys membership of more than 500 anaesthetists either working in, or associated with the South West of England.
The Society holds two scientific meetings each year, in November and Spring, and publishes a peer-reviewed journal –‘Anaesthesia Points West’ to coincide with each meeting. Several bursaries and prizes are awarded by or through the society each year.
Every third year the spring meeting is held overseas in association with another European anaesthetic society.
Applications for membership are welcomed from trainee and consultant anaesthetists from across the South Western region. Please browse our website to discover more about our academic, social, and educational activities.
