Roma 2010: Trainees

It’s time to book your study leave and EasyJet to Rome.

This trip will leave you refreshed, educated, cultured, inspired and having made new friends. And perhaps just a little hung-over. It’s also a great chance to present a poster presentation to an International meeting and win up to £200 cash. You won’t find better CV-fodder than this so easily. The social programme begins May 12th and the meeting proper on May 14th – which is when the trainee posters will be presented. See prizes and bursaries for more details. Bear in mind that the trainee rates for registration are significantly subsidised and represent excellent value.

Recent SASWR meetings have included topics such as spaceflight, mount Everest, elite athletes, forensic medicine and Litvenyenko, as well as more serious topics such as updates in thoracic anaesthesia, so there’s plenty to keep you interested. The social scene is always very friendly and there will certainly be plenty of ‘letting down of hair’ in Rome. Of course we will be on our best behaviour as we are joining up with the Roman anaesthetists, so they will be able to give us a lesson in style, whilst we’ll show them how to drink! There is a full time social programme for partners, so do invite your other half too.
